Why Capsule Machine NFT?
The idea of buying a capsule from a machine and not knowing what is inside is very fun. We remember being kids and begging our parents for some loose change to put into a capsule machine.
Bulk Discount?
Save on gas when you mint multiple of our NFTs at once. Our smart contract is based on ERC721A, a fully compliant implementation of IERC721 with best practices and significant gas savings for minting multiple NFTs in a single transaction. The numbers in the table below are a generic example of savings using ERC721A.

If you wish to verify our provenance you will need to reverse offset the collection. Our offset will be based on the value of the remainder of the block the final NFT mints on divided by the total supply of 5025.
Features like provenance and offsetting are to ensure a higher level of fairness. Provenance guarantees that the NFTs are not tampered with, and the offset guarantees that we do not know which NFTs align with specific IDs until all NFTs are minted.
The provenance hash is generated by taking all NFT images in the original pre-offset order, hashing them all, combining all hashes together into one big string, and then hashing that big string.
Update 9/18/2022: We previously did the first reveal on block 14355946 as it was the block that the 500th NFT was minted on. For the second reveal, we did the second (and final) offset on block 15506535. We are transitioning to an immediate reveal method. As soon as it's ready, newly minted CMNFTs will reveal in a few minutes after they are revealed. Offset Numbers: (14355946 % 500 = 446) (15506535 % 4525 = 3885)
How do I buy?
You will need Metamask and 0.05 ETH per mint. An additional ETH gas fee is also added and may be higher or lower depending on transaction volume of the Ethereum network. If you want to be on the safe side, try to have 0.1 ETH in reserve per mint so that you have more than enough for gas fees.
You can download Metamask here and find places to buy Ethereum here. If you look up Ethereum gas fees you can get a general idea of how much extra ETH you need. We have worked to ensure that our smart contract enables as low gas fees as we possibly can on our side. There will be no pre-sale.
It's easy peasy. Buy a capulse. Wait to open the capsule. Then open the capsule to see what's inside!
What is the supply?
Exactly 5025. Each of the 20 artists participating have 250 unique generative art pieces available to mint. When you mint, you have a chance to get an art piece from any of the participating artists. There are also a limited supply of extra custom made NFTs that will be randomly included between the generative NFTs. These custom NFTs may be made by artists who are not (yet) publicly listed on this project.
Why buy our NFT art?
There are a variety of reasons you may wish to acquire your very own art pieces from these fine artists. Some people buy NFTs to support the artists they love. Others may wish to collect something unique and rare. Many wish to speculate on what the art may be worth in the future (we cannot give any guarantees on the future secondary market prices of our art NFTs). Buying our NFTs is proof that you are based.
We have gone above and beyond to be censorship resilient. Once revealed, the images and metadata will be stored on IPFS using the IPFS protocol directly and not a centralized gateway.
We have integrity, honesty and courage. We're creating, coding, working, and we won't stop.
Commercial License?
One special quality of our NFTs is that if you can cryptographically prove that you own a specific art piece, we grant you a commercial license for that NFT for physical merchandise. This means if you want to sell a specific piece of an artist's art on products like mouse pads, t-shirts, coffee mugs, or whatever physical commonly understood merchandise product you wish to sell, you will be able to. This limited commercial license is not a transfer of IP of the characters or designs. If you wish to sell merchandise with an art piece you crypographically own, on it the art must not be modified in any meaningful way and must represent the image of the NFT art piece with clarity.
Cryptographic proof is the process of signing a message to prove that you own a specific NFT. It is quick and easy to prove that you own a specific NFT.
The granted commercial license is only for what is commonly understood as physical merchandise. This is not a transfer of any IP rights.

Yes, this really means if you buy and maintain crypographic ownership of a piece of our NFT art you can legally sell merch based on that NFT art piece.
When is Mint Day?
January 29th, 2022. Join our Telegram group chat or follow one of the many artists on their social media where available to be notified of when minting begins. There will be no airdrops, presales, or e-celeb freebies.
What makes these NFTs special?
The Capsule Machine NFT art project has 20 fantastic artists participating. Let's be real. We're not just incredible artists delivering messages as part of the global social-cultural & socioeconomic changes brought on by the blockchain, we're your pals too.
Our artists are transgressive, censored, and very punkish. Punk culture is everyone is fucking welcome and everyone has a voice. We actually embody those values unlike many fakers of today.
What is generative art?
In the context of the Capsule Machine NFT art project, our generative art is hand made in layers and then computationally generated to form unique art pieces.
Will I see the art I mint when I mint?
Art and metadata will not be revealed right away. The timeline of when the reveal will happen will be announced in the future. Not revealing art and metadata early is important to give all collectors a fair chance and not get sniped by rare trait sniper bots.

Can I buy / sell minted NFTs before reveal?
Yes. We recommend that you use Scatter as your preferred NFT marketplace.

Why the 0.05 ETH minting price?
We wanted to set a more afforable minting price that would enable more first time buyers to consider getting their first NFT with us. We have also worked to minimize potential gas prices caused by our smart contract which benefits people who mint and people who exchange on secondary markets.
Do you have a Discord?
While some of the artists participating may have a Discord for you to join, we choose to focus on our Telegram and Twitter for organization and information. If you follow or subscribe to an artist participating, there is a good chance you'll see important information on the project directly from them.
Can I choose which art I want?
Not knowing what you'll get is the fun part!
What can I do with my NFTs?
Use them as your profile picture. Sell them on physical merchandise. Give them to your grandchildren. Admire them for their art and vision.
How long will minting be possible?
Minting will last until all NFTs are sold, however short or long that takes.
Will you have future plans?
Yes, though we will be purposely vague. We are a collective of very talented, very creative people with big artistic visions so hopefully you can see the potential in supporting us.
Can I mint after supply has ran out?
No. When supply runs out you will have lost your chance to mint and you will need to buy on secondary markets directly from someone willing to sell.
How do I view my NFTs?
You can easily view NFTs you mint from us on your wallet on scatter.art for other NFTs you can use etherscan.io

Before reveal happens, your NFTs will show up as mystery capsules of various colors.
Warning: Do not ever agree to random Metamask popups on random sites without understanding what they are asking for. Only use trusted sites and read fully what you are agreeing to in Metamask popups.
What do the capsule colors mean?
They are for fun! The capsule colors are randomly assigned and do not determine what is inside.
How long will the supply last?
No one knows! Flurks sold out all of the available 5,000 in only 22 minutes after minting opened. Make sure you have your ETH wallet ready for mint day if you don't want to miss out!
On top of the base 5k, there are also a handful of extra exclusive ultra rares contributed by various artists included in the mix. Among those ultra rares, are art pieces from the golden creator series by Alex P Cretin.

We cannot predict the future, anything is possible, and we feel it is important to set expectations. Thus: instead of making the unrevealed NFTs all the same generic image like many projects have, our unrevealed NFTs are each uniquely generative and colorful capsules.
Above all else, buy our NFTs to support the artists involved over the long-term.
